Here at Tinahely we have the original Wanderly Wagon on display – yes from RTE days from the 1960’s right up to the 1980’s.

The wagon is just beautiful and stands proud in our Activity Barn on view for everyone to see and admire.

Wanderly Wagon was first aired on television in September 1967. There were wonderful Characters on the Wagon, from Judge the dog, Mr and Mrs O’Brien, Crow, Forty coats, Foxy, Sneaky Snake, the mice that lived in the attic, the Squirrels and Maeve the Witch.

This was very much part of every household in Ireland.

We are hoping to do puppet shows in the near future in the Activity Barn using the Wanderly Wagon as part of the back drop of the show, once conditions allow us to. We really can’t wait!
